SEA's Mission - To empower the youth of Southeastern Wisconsin to be champions in life through excellence in swimming.

The primary goal of Pups to Dragons is to the lay the groundwork for future success (sound stroke mechanics, proper starts, turns, finishes, strong base of kicking, and relays exchanges), the goals of Green to Senior 1 is to build the aerobic base and master distance free and distance IM events (ensuring a well rounded swimmer), while the goal of Senior 2 is to prepare swimmers for college swimming.

The primary movement date for the Fall & Winter Season is December 1 of each year.  The primary movement date for the Spring & Summer Season is the first day of the Summer Season (each swimmer is also evaluated at the conclusion of a season and during the season as well).

To move from Lions to Dragons, swimmers must prove proficiency in the skills listed below and be recommended for movement by their coach:

1) Demonstrate proficiency with Pups criteria

2) Demonstrate mastery (legal) in the following events 50 Breast and 50 Fly in 59.99 or faster

3) Understands and demonstrates proper use of the pace clock

4) Can explain why pace clocks are used and the importance of using one

5) Understands and demonstrates lane etiquette

6) Can explain why circle swimming is important in competitive swimming

7) Demonstrate mastery (legal) in the following turns Free, Back, Breast, Fly, and all IM turns

8) Can explain, in detail, how to perform each turn

9) Demonstrates a streamlined racing start from the starting block

10) Dives in the same hole (fingers first, then elbows, shoulders, hips, knees, feet)

11) Can legally complete all the training sets 6x50 on 1:15 Free, 6x50 on 1:15 Back, 6x50 on 1:30 Breast, 8x25 on :50 Fly, and 6x50 on 1:30 flutter kick
